In Tbilisi, Georgia, Serbia met Lithuania in the semifinal of the Woman’s 17 EHF Championship. Serbs started the game as favorites and were up until 14th minute (6:5), but brave Lithuania equalized the score and came forward. The first half was tough and though Serbia fought hard couldn’t tie the score – 13:14.
After the break, Serbia scored first goal and then the point to point game started but still at the 18th minute the Serbs gained an advantage of 5 goals – 25:20. Then they gradually increased the pressure and won 32:26.
Thus, Serbia will play in the final and Lithuania will fight for the third place.
The best player of Serbia was Teodora Djukic (CB) and the best player of Lithuania was Dominyka Andronik (LW).
