
Greece surpassed Bulgaria
Bulgaria and Greece, the last two teams of group A of Women’s 17 EHF Championship met at the Tbilisi Sports Palace. The Bulgarians had two defeats from two games and the Greeks had one draw and two loses out of three.
Greece, which at this point still have a mathematical chance to take third place in the group, seized the initiative from the first minutes. They won the first half 22:10.
The match ended 39:30.
The best player of team Greece was named Avramina Sevdil (CB) and the best from Bulgaria was again Mari Tomova (LB).
Avramina Sevdil (Greece): We closed the first round with a win, we have prepared well for this game. We stayed focused on our plan, we wanted it to work and we made it work. Now we are ready for the second round and we hope to have a good tournament till the end.
Mari Tomova (Bulgaria): I would rate this game with a 5 out of 10, because all of my teammates were not in the great condition.
