Switzerland impressed

The second match of the first day in group B of Women’s 17 EHF Championship was Switzerland vs Latvia. Switzerland won 39:20
From the first minute it was clear who would win. The Swiss surpassed their rivals in many ways. They are probably the favorites of group B, where also play Lithuania, Georgia and Finland.

The firs half ended 20:10.

Switzerland’s best player was named Malin Altheer (RB)

 and the best of the Latvian team was chosen Madara Cibulsska (LB).

Larisa Veinberga, Head coach of Latvia: It was a very hard game for us, we only have 13 players. Our girls are smaller, the Swiss were taller than us and faster.

Jürgen Fleischmann, Head coach of Switzerland: We played really well in the counterattack, we still made a lot of mistakes. I think my players were faster and stronger physically.
